* A traditional teochew kueh that looks like a peach on the outside with glutinous rice filling mixed with mushrooms, dried shrimp, peanuts, etc… It is an auspicious dish
• 发糕 (*hua kueh) •
*A type of sponge cake which represents wealth and prosperity in chinese culture. After it was steamed, the top view of the cake will look like a flower, and hence often depicts happiness. “HUAT AH!”
